Fashion Snap: Momoko Love

I meant to catch up on some things I mentioned in my update before posting about anything somewhat recent - but oh wells. I decided to go ahead with this tiny outfit post and talk about what has been inspiring me  in fashion lately. I still haven't had any time to do decent make up or hair : / I am SO looking forward to late June and July, so I will have time to go all out!

I have been picking inspiration outfits lately, since I have been feeling rather rusty with my coords. I've been adoring Momoko lately. Its really only natural, since I adore monotone. Although I hate yellow, it does look nice in a mono outfit. I originally wanted to wear a long black lace skirt, but I left it at the bf's house so I had to change to the slightly too big tulle skirt.

I would not say that I have changed my style, because I am always interested in multiple styles at once. However lately I have been loving Mode - and almost strictly Murua inspired outfits. Its a fairly big change of interests for me, especially when paired with the Mode lack of extravagant hair and make up. But I have been wanting a more adult look, and Mode just feels right~

Happy Valentine's day! I'm not doing anything special today. I had my "special day" lazing around with my boyfriend yesterday. We watched Up and Monsters, Inc. on the Disney Channel and ate in. <3 Just got off work - man, we sold so many heart balloons! I'm going to spend the rest of tonight relaxing.

Check out what my boyfriend got me for Valentine's! I do really like Star Wars, but I'm not as into as I used to be. But how can anyone resist a blinged Darth Vador?!

Speaking of Star Wars, I've been playing the MMO more, and I actually like it. It can't replace Ragnarok in my heart, but its fun. Although I have a hard time playing because I am such a loner! I don't like playing with strangers, so I never do the quests that require groups. >.>;;

I guess this was more of a nerd post than one about love, haha. But Valentine's isn't a big deal for me. The only thing I really care about is the chocolate lol.

Recent Gets, +1 Outfit, and Stuff

Posting has been slow going for me lately. Although I do have some pictures to catch up on, not a whole lot has been going on. Work has been scheduling me on days I'm not available. The weather has mostly been too rainy to let me wear all the outfit I've been thinking up to go with my new wedges. I haven't even been able to wear lashes or lenses much lately because my eyes have been tearing up so badly. I guess that's what spring is about - rain and allergies. ):

But I did buy some things recently, and I was able to squeeze in one decent outfit on Tuesday!

 I bought a dress from Target, salad dressing and chocolate from my favorite Japanese restaurant, and nailpolishes. My mother bought me a maxi length cardigan that I am so happy with! I can mark that off my "to buy" list. She really got a great deal too. When she looked at it around Christmas it had been $60, and she got it for $12!

 New nailpolishes. The silvery one is actually a very light sparkly lavender that I'm in love with.

 And my not-so-sweet Japanese chocolate. 

And here is the outfit I squeezed in Tuesday. I only wore it out to grab a quick bite of food and to go to Target, but I was so happy to get to wear my new wedges and dress! I have a really awkward character hair, and my "everyday make up", so lets just focus on the clothes. >.>; Oh I cut my hair too! Its been about a month lol, and you probably can't tell because my hair looks stupid in these pictures. It is quite a bit shorter now (doesn't touch my shoulders), and it is longer in the front than the back.

I'm sure a lot of you have seen Target's new mini collection from Jason Wu. I overall don't care a bit about designers, since it is too expensive for me. Also, they usually run too small for me, so on the rare occasions when I have actually wanted a piece, it doesn't fit anyway. I usually don't pay much attention when Target gets new designer items, but when I saw Sara Mari post about the collection I fell in love with some of the items.

The cat mascot is absolutely darling, and I thought the blouse matched up well with some gal trends. But what I really wanted was this purse:

I love monotone, and I've wanting a satchel purse for a while, so I really fell hard for this purse.

I did go to Target on the Jason Wu premier day, but at 4 when I finally got off work. I could not find any of the accessories. I went again at 8am the next day before work and asked an employee about it since online it said that particular store still had some in stock. She checked and the system said there were 4 in stock, but after asking around we got several confirmations that all the Jason Wu accessories had sold out premier morning. Yet online still said they had some in stock for several days before finally saying sold out.

All I can say is,"DAMN YOU!" *shakes fist*

Fashion Snap: New Years Eve

We got our first snow tonight! Although it didn't stick... I have so many things to catch up on blogging about, but I can never seem to find the time. Or maybe its just that I'm still busy playing around with my Christmas presents. XD

Here are some pictures from my New Years Eve. I spent the day working with Rin finishing products and taking pictures for our Good Girl Bad Girl Giveaway (<--- click to enter!).

I was in a rush since I spent most of my time struggling with my extensions, and I forgot to put in lenses and almost forgot my lashes!

Super Quick Snap

Just a few pictures of myself before heading out to go grocery shopping a few days ago. Sorry for the bad quality! By the time I got around to taking pictures, it was pretty dark. All the pictures I took with flash came out really overexposed. >.<

 I was pretty proud of my hair. Its hard to tell in these pictures, but it was pretty poofy. I also semi-accomplished the agejo piecey look. It wasn't anything very fancy though.

I meant to get an outfit shot, but ended up getting puked on by my nephew! EW

Still trying to figure out how to improve my makeup. I can never get it to look how I want unless I am looking at a picture. Also, I really feel my camera doesn't do it justice, it always washes everything out (maybe one day I can do videos?). Larger lenses would also help, I'm hoping to buy some when I get my tax refund!

A bit more usual

Here are a few snaps of a really quick and simple outfit from last week. Maybe this style suits you better than my last post?

The main goal of this was to try a more rock gal style while wearing glasses. Unfortunately, these are my real glasses, so I couldn't wear my circle lenses (which are all prescription).

I think the outfit all together was ok, and i got compliments, but the simple make up didn't photograph well. I think I may try this style again with more extreme makeup.

Secret Life

The truth is, I'm not 100% devoted to gyaru. It is definitely my favorite and most used fashion of choice, but I love a lot of J-fashions! I don't think this is really a secret, but I've never really talked about it on this blog before. Dressing up in other fashions is a big part of who I am, especially when I'm representing hardcandy house. My 2nd favorite J-fashion? Fairy kei!

I just wanted to share some (not so) recent outfits that aren't gyaru!

Thanksgiving Eats & Outfit

Admittedly, Thanksgiving is a holiday I really don't care about. I usually refer to it as ," that holiday where we eat a bunch of food I don't like." However, this year was much better! Either my tastes are changing, or the food was better than normal.

It was a very pretty day!

We ate at my sister's house, which was lovely. I enjoy going over there, especially now that she is pregnant~!

There was lots of things on the menu, of course. Two different flavors of smoked turkey, stuffing, hash brown casserole, broccoli casserole, deviled eggs, macaroni and cheese, garlic and cheese rolls, and my favorite - green beans. Normally I hate any kind of casserole and stuffing, but I actually liked it this year!

Our dessert set up, with peanut butter balls, peanut butter roll ups ( I made them!), pecan pie (yuck), pumpkin bread, and vanilla ice cream.

My brother-in-law brews beer, and he always has me try his most recent blend when I come over. I will try it, but I really am not much for alcohol, especially beer - its so nasty! This one was supposed to be pumpkin flavored.

It was on the warm side, so I could get away with wearing shorts over some tights.

Ugh, my roots are getting pretty bad, but I will just have to suffer through it since I gave up hair coloring.

Trying harder!

So I got a few secrets posted about me recently...To be honest, it used to upset me when I got negative posts, but these really didn't bother me at all. Maybe because they were more constructive - and it didn't hurt that they both said I was cute!

Its hard for me to think I don't wear enough make up compared to how little I used to wear, but I can see how maybe the way its applied is not very gal.

I'm not fat, so this didn't bother me. However, this is definitely a very unflattering picture of me. And I really was thinking of comfort more than fashion with this outfit. >.<


So instead of getting upset like I used to, I decided to take their advice. To be completely honest, I have not been trying very hard with my outfits lately. I have been lazy, and thinking of comfort first. Also, I am so tired of everything in my closet, so I get discouraged when trying to put together coords. I end up doing the same thing all the time. My make up...well I still try with that, but I haven't really been trying to make it look gal specifically, so they caught me on that one!

Monday night I decided to give it another go. I have been glued to Momoko's blog lately, and it helped me beak out of the box a little with my coord.

Last Saturday and camwhoring!

Last Saturday was an extremely busy day for me! I woke up at 6 in the morning to start getting myself pretty, so I could go ring shopping with my friend Ellen. Her and her long distance boyfriend are engaged, all they need is a ring!

Not going to lie, this post is mainly pictures of myself. Every once in a while I get discouraged with my personal fashion, and also feel guilty if I haven't dressed up in a while. So I will have days like last Saturday where I will set out to prove to myself that I still have some gal in me by taking lots of pictures of myself!
