Have a Nerdy V-day!

Happy Valentine's day! I'm not doing anything special today. I had my "special day" lazing around with my boyfriend yesterday. We watched Up and Monsters, Inc. on the Disney Channel and ate in. <3 Just got off work - man, we sold so many heart balloons! I'm going to spend the rest of tonight relaxing.

Took some cute pictures for hardcandy house on Saturday.

Check out what my boyfriend got me for Valentine's! I do really like Star Wars, but I'm not as into as I used to be. But how can anyone resist a blinged Darth Vador?!

Speaking of Star Wars, I've been playing the MMO more, and I actually like it. It can't replace Ragnarok in my heart, but its fun. Although I have a hard time playing because I am such a loner! I don't like playing with strangers, so I never do the quests that require groups. >.>;;

Here are some crappy pictures I took! : D

My character. I wanted to be Light Side, but literally EVERYONE I know that plays the game is Dark Side. So I am a Sith Warrior Marauder.

I guess this was more of a nerd post than one about love, haha. But Valentine's isn't a big deal for me. The only thing I really care about is the chocolate lol.

Hope everyone has a great V-day!

Recent Gets, +1 Outfit, and Stuff

Posting has been slow going for me lately. Although I do have some pictures to catch up on, not a whole lot has been going on. Work has been scheduling me on days I'm not available. The weather has mostly been too rainy to let me wear all the outfit I've been thinking up to go with my new wedges. I haven't even been able to wear lashes or lenses much lately because my eyes have been tearing up so badly. I guess that's what spring is about - rain and allergies. ):

But I did buy some things recently, and I was able to squeeze in one decent outfit on Tuesday!
I bought a dress from Target, salad dressing and chocolate from my favorite Japanese restaurant, and nailpolishes. My mother bought me a maxi length cardigan that I am so happy with! I can mark that off my "to buy" list. She really got a great deal too. When she looked at it around Christmas it had been $60, and she got it for $12!

New nailpolishes. The silvery one is actually a very light sparkly lavender that I'm in love with.

 And my not-so-sweet Japanese chocolate.

And here is the outfit I squeezed in Tuesday. I only wore it out to grab a quick bite of food and to go to Target, but I was so happy to get to wear my new wedges and dress! I have a really awkward character hair, and my "everyday make up", so lets just focus on the clothes. >.>; Oh I cut my hair too! Its been about a month lol, and you probably can't tell because my hair looks stupid in these pictures. It is quite a bit shorter now (doesn't touch my shoulders), and it is longer in the front than the back.

Outfit rundown:
Cardigan: Target
Necklace: Party City
Dress: Target
Bracelet: Party City
Tights: Party City
Shoes: Target

lol Half Party City and half Target. I did feel a smidge awkward wearing this into Target, haha.

SPEAKING OF TARGET.

I'm sure a lot of you have seen Target's new mini collection from Jason Wu. I overall don't care a bit about designers, since it is too expensive for me. Also, they usually run too small for me, so on the rare occasions when I have actually wanted a piece, it doesn't fit anyway. I usually don't pay much attention when Target gets new designer items, but when I saw Sara Mari post about the collection I fell in love with some of the items.

The cat mascot is absolutely darling, and I thought the blouse matched up well with some gal trends. But what I really wanted was this purse:
I love monotone, and I've wanting a satchel purse for a while, so I really fell hard for this purse.

I did go to Target on the Jason Wu premier day, but at 4 when I finally got off work. I could not find any of the accessories. I went again at 8am the next day before work and asked an employee about it since online it said that particular store still had some in stock. She checked and the system said there were 4 in stock, but after asking around we got several confirmations that all the Jason Wu accessories had sold out premier morning. Yet online still said they had some in stock for several days before finally saying sold out.

All I can say is,"DAMN YOU!" *shakes fist*

Xmas GETS!

My fever finally broke this morning! I still feel really crappy, and I had to leave work after only 3 hours. My paycheck is going to suck! But lets focus on something more positive - how I racked up for Christmas!

FINALLY! I know its pretty late to be posting Christmas gets, but I had to -ahem- clean my room first. It looked really nice too, but then when I came home last night my family had stuck some huge boxes, and my nephew's Spiderman blowup toy in my room. T_T Its so nice to know that my bedroom can double as a storage closet.

Onto the presents!
From the bf: a tripod! (he is also planning on getting me a nicer quality camera once tax refunds come in); from the bf's mom: Korean recipe calender (yeah!), hand lotion, candle, and bottled lotion; from Stella: blinged bath wash set and a cute jewelry set.

I got a kigu!

YAY! I have wanted a kigurumi for so long, and I finally gave in and ordered one for myself and Rin.

I ordered from kigurumi-shop.
I was very pleased with their service. They sent very prompt email notifications, and gave me a UPS tracking number. It also shipped in very fast! They were just under $60, which seems to be the standard price. I've never seen a cheaper price at conventions or online.

I bought Rin the cute and cuddly Owl (which is a soft pile fabric), and myself the fierce Halloween Black Cat (which is a nice fleece).

They are really nice quality, and very warm - and I've only gotten overheated once! My only complaint is that is is a tiny bit short in the legs for me. My ankles do show. ):  I don't feel like 5'6" is very tall, but I've been told I have long legs. And these are made for Asian people, so I guess I have to take that into consideration.

It has nice sweater cuffs instead of plain elastic.

Cute embroidery, and the mouth and tail are stuffed!

I decided to do a manba inspired look, but got too tired halfway through to complete the look. Nevertheless, here are some camwhore pics!

My scary before and after!

Honestly, I could live in a kigu. Do you have one?

Black Friday Gets~

The title is misleading since I didn't get all of this on Friday. Oh well! This was the first year I ever tried going out on Black Friday. I didn't get up early though, I think we headed out around 10:30.

AWA Gets!

I got back from AWA on Monday, but I'm not ready to return to real life yet! We had so much fun, and I bought more than I ever have at a convention! Wanna see?

Mine, Rin's, and our friend Nigel's purchases from the con.

My purchases from AWA and Super H Mart!

Gifts for the boyfriend.
The Shin-chan snacks are actually really good - kinda like cinnamon twists. And I got the shirt because Kevin always gets so angry when other people camp. But when he tried it on, he started laughing and said, "I totally camp." Well I guess hes not a real man! >:0

Cute charms. First on the left is from some artist- didn't get a name, then Sugarbunny Shop, Missy Cosmetics in Super H Mart, and the crooked mouthed Korilakumma is from the dealers room. So hilarious!

Adorable make up bag from Bara chan, and some NYX make up from Missy Cosmetics. I'm really disappointed with the sparkle liner - it peels up! ):

Scrunchie and earrings from Missy Cosmetics, and ice cream scoop bear ring from teenmermaid.

Lashes and face masks from Missy Cosmetics.

Lemon wafers (which taste like nothing :/), rice crackers, and Yan Yan from Super H Mart.

I've never seen double cream before!

My art haul! I was so impressed with all the really talented people that showed up this year! The top left is by Camilla D'errico, the black and white sketch is by Alice, the top right picture I didn't get a name for >.<;;, bottom left is by Muddy Melly, and bottom right is by Annie Stegg.

Unfortunately, my print from Muddy Melly got a wet spot and tore! I am so sad, since this is one of my favorite pieces.

I also bought this two tone lolita wig from Cosplay Wigs. The people at their booth were so nice and friendly! I'm going to do some things with this wig so it isn't so shiny, and probably put some waves in it.

I'm so happy with all my purchses! I need to go out and buy a lot of frames now!

Recent gets and mini review

I have been trying to save up money so I can spend it all in Atlanta, but I was running low on some products so I decided to go bargain shopping! I bought some e.l.f. make up from Target - its the cheapest make up I know of!

All the products below were only $1 apiece!

e.l.f.  Tone correcting Concealer
I really needed concealer, and this one does not cut it! Honestly can't tell any difference. Don't buy it.

e.l.f. Translucent Matifying Powder
This is not translucent! When applied with the provided sponge it goes on darker than my skin tone! But it looks perfect when applied with a brush. It works out better that way since I prefer loose powders over pressed.

e.l.f. Total Face Brush
I needed this to apply my powder. I am quite pleased with it - it is very good quality for $1. Especially when considering how expensive brushes usually are!

e.l.f. Contouring Blush and Bronzer
I like these colors, they have a gold shimmer to them, but don't find them at all suitable for contouring. Maybe a darker toned person could pull it off, but using this as a contour on my pale skin looks very unnatural.

e.l.f. Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara
I do love this product, even more than  some better brand tinted eyebrow gel I bought. But I am obsessed with eyebrow gel - I don't want a hair out of place! I don't see much of a difference between the eyebrow and eyelash side, other than the shape of the brush. It also says to apply the eyelash formula over your mascara - but I've been applying it under. My lashes get a bit tangled, so this helps me get them in place before mascara. The eyelash side also has a wet-look finish that I don't really care for.

e.l.f. Liquid Eyeliner
This eyeliner is very easy to use, goes on smooth, and has a nicely shaped  felt tip. However, it also has a slightly shiny finish, and seems to rub off a bit easily. Not suggested if you touch your eyes a lot.

e.l.f. Brightening Eyeliner in Ash
I bought this one since the only black liner I could find had sparkles in it. To me sparkles in eyeliner just takes away from the black and looks weird. The Ash seems pretty dark in the package, but it goes on so light! When I put it on it just looks like my make up smeared a bit. Don't buy!

e.l.f. Shimmering Facial Whip
I have been into using a frosted finish for my highlights instead of the usual white lately. I love this product, and a little goes a long way. The only downside is if you apply too much it can look a bit silvery.

Overall I think a lot of e.l.f.'s products are hit and miss. I think the brand is excellent for young girls who are just starting out with make up, and for those who don't wear much. But the price really can't be beat, so its also I good idea for girls on a tight budget - or if you just want to experiment!

My Aunt also suprised my by sending this super cute necklace!

I was surprised to see its by Express. My Aunt is addicted to yard sales and thrift stores, so I didn't expect to get such a nice brand item!

Good night ladies!
