Fashion Snap: New Years Eve

We got our first snow tonight! Although it didn't stick... I have so many things to catch up on blogging about, but I can never seem to find the time. Or maybe its just that I'm still busy playing around with my Christmas presents. XD

Here are some pictures from my New Years Eve. I spent the day working with Rin finishing products and taking pictures for our Good Girl Bad Girl Giveaway (<--- click to enter!).

I was in a rush since I spent most of my time struggling with my extensions, and I forgot to put in lenses and almost forgot my lashes!

I got a kigu!

YAY! I have wanted a kigurumi for so long, and I finally gave in and ordered one for myself and Rin.

I ordered from kigurumi-shop.

I was very pleased with their service. They sent very prompt email notifications, and gave me a UPS tracking number. It also shipped in very fast! They were just under $60, which seems to be the standard price. I've never seen a cheaper price at conventions or online.

I bought Rin the cute and cuddly Owl (which is a soft pile fabric), and myself the fierce Halloween Black Cat (which is a nice fleece).

They are really nice quality, and very warm - and I've only gotten overheated once! My only complaint is that is is a tiny bit short in the legs for me. My ankles do show. ):  I don't feel like 5'6" is very tall, but I've been told I have long legs. And these are made for Asian people, so I guess I have to take that into consideration.

It has nice sweater cuffs instead of plain elastic.

I decided to do a manba inspired look, but got too tired halfway through to complete the look. Nevertheless, here are some camwhore pics!

Trying harder!

So I got a few secrets posted about me recently...To be honest, it used to upset me when I got negative posts, but these really didn't bother me at all. Maybe because they were more constructive - and it didn't hurt that they both said I was cute!

Its hard for me to think I don't wear enough make up compared to how little I used to wear, but I can see how maybe the way its applied is not very gal.

I'm not fat, so this didn't bother me. However, this is definitely a very unflattering picture of me. And I really was thinking of comfort more than fashion with this outfit. >.<


So instead of getting upset like I used to, I decided to take their advice. To be completely honest, I have not been trying very hard with my outfits lately. I have been lazy, and thinking of comfort first. Also, I am so tired of everything in my closet, so I get discouraged when trying to put together coords. I end up doing the same thing all the time. My make up...well I still try with that, but I haven't really been trying to make it look gal specifically, so they caught me on that one!

Monday night I decided to give it another go. I have been glued to Momoko's blog lately, and it helped me beak out of the box a little with my coord.

Well, I actually didn't do anything festive today! I've been feeling sick since last night, so I just layed around and played Rune Factory 3. But I have been getting in the spirit practically every other day! I dressed up a lot for work, and I also got in costume the past two weekends while selling some hardcandy house jewelry at the Flying Monkey. I thought you might like to see some pictures!

Last week I had a super lovely day out with my boyfriend. I was really excited to be going out since we were going to eat at Conner's with his dad. When Rin asked me what the occasion was, I replied, "Uh...his mom is out of town?" lol His mom is visiting family in Korea. I wish I could go too!

Last Saturday and camwhoring!

Last Saturday was an extremely busy day for me! I woke up at 6 in the morning to start getting myself pretty, so I could go ring shopping with my friend Ellen. Her and her long distance boyfriend are engaged, all they need is a ring!

Not going to lie, this post is mainly pictures of myself. Every once in a while I get discouraged with my personal fashion, and also feel guilty if I haven't dressed up in a while. So I will have days like last Saturday where I will set out to prove to myself that I still have some gal in me by taking lots of pictures of myself!

AWA Fashion Snap & Bonus Halloween!

I thought I'd share what I wore at AWA. There is only one gal outfit below, but if you like other J-fashion, you might like this post too. But be warned! These pictures are full of so many derpy faces! I'm gonna blame the fact that we were running on less than 4 hours of sleep per night. There are also red eyes galore in these pictures, but I don't have Photoshop, and I'm way too lazy to correct it with paint!

 These are the nails I made for the con! I don't like the polka dot nails, but I love everything else. Especially my hand painted plaid that matched Saturday's skirt!

This is the first time I have put dangle charms on my nails, and I'm not gonna lie - it got caught on stuff. But It wasn't as bad as I thought, I think I could get used to it.
